This is a portrait of one of my favourite singers - Sting.

I've decided to step away from very realistic, detailed, very thought through style.
I wanted to try something spontaneous, something with more energy rather than quality of artwork and strict technique, rules.

I'm planning to do series of these kinds of portraits.

Although this portrait is very different from what I see on CG Society, I want to know your opinion - which style do you think is better?
This more loose, more spontaneous, or very detailed, realistic look that I had before that?

P.S. I put his lyrics on the background. I think that his words is his weapon, his treasure. It's not just the music, it's the context, the eloquence, the meaning - that's what the most captive about him.

What do you think about his songs?
